Nigh Oops

Full disclosure: I got so hyped up to watch my Browns play the Patriots in Cleveland today that I nearly forgot to post todays comic. It’ll be up in a minute.

The ironic part is the content of today’s comic. Who would have thought I’d almost miss posting Joey’s coming out as a sports fan by watching football?!

15 Consecutive Weeks!

Today’s comic represents 15 consecutive weeks of The Jockeys. After the comic sputtered in November of last year and was rebooted on July 11th 2010, we’ve brought you The Jockeys every Sunday for three months.  We’re extremely pleased with the progress we’ve made and hope you’re enjoying your getting your Jockey fill each week. We hope to be around for at least another three months, and beyond. Enjoy!

Ok, big time apologies; I missed my Sunday post. It’s up now, but I won’t make this mistake again (I hope).

Tablet Back in Order

I’ve gotten my tablet drivers straightened out for now, so it’s all good. Smile I had to work at it but I got them to act right finally. Yes! I’m also hooked on my new art program I got around the time I got my tablet, Manga Studio. It simply rocks. It’s made everything so much easier that it’s amazing. It plus my tablet means this comic is headed for good things. I hope you like the next comic, because I’m proud of it.

Oh and another note, I just wanted to share another pic. It’s just a page from a new manga-style comic I’m toying with. I’m sharing it to show off another art style and to see if anyone is interested.

KyPage

It’s hard to explain what’s going on without showing the entire story, but that’s all I want to share for now. Enjoy.

Color me Vivid

Apparently I have – for now – decided to go an all-color route. The reasoning being that it takes me the same amount of effort to color as to shade, so I’m going with color. My art tablet’s drivers are acting up though, and if I can’t get them straightened out, I’ll be back to pen-and-paper in a few weeks (after my stash of comics runs out) at which point the style will be anyone’s guess.

Colorful Characters

I’ve added color to the character profiles. I also hope to turn out a color comic next week. I don’t currently foresee a permanent  switch to color yet, but I hope to do that someday in the future.

If nothing else the color profiles hopefully gives you a better take at how the characters are supposed to appear.

Profiles Up!

I’ve posted new profile pics of the major players in the comic, found on the menu under “The Jockeys”.  I’m also getting better with my new tablet, so next weeks comic will look better then this week’s, I’m sure of it.

I’ve Got a New Toy

I got a new Wacom graphics tablet yesterday so I’ll be employing that here starting next comic. It’ll look a little different, but hopefully not worse. Oh, and I’ve obviously changed the site design a little. Enjoy.

Well, Snakey’s safe, thanks to Don. Unfortunately, Bernie… not so much.
